Retina Specialty Institute (RSI) recently held their first Regional Continuing Education (CE) Event for the optometric community on Saturday, June 25 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, Florida.

The CE event allowed optometrists to learn from retina specialists, Dr. John Myers, Dr. Ryan Tarantola and Dr. Charlie Clark, while earning 8-hours of COPE-approved credits and networking with others in optometry and ophthalmology practices.

Feedback from the approximately 20 attending eye care specialists was very positive — noting the initiatives put forth by RSI to increase the experience for their partners in the eye care field. Included within this meeting were more experiential discussions and hands-on learning for attendees.

The physicians of Retina Specialty Institute regularly hold COPE-approved continuing education events across the Gulf Coast. This was the first of many multi-physician regional events.
